Remote SupportThanks to the advancement of communications technology, we are now capable of providing a "virtual support assistant" in real time to help you go solve any issues you might have related to GIS/GPS mapping.

We use remote desktop sharing technologies along with Voice Over IP (VoIP) to establish a remote session to trouble shoot the issues.

These services might be contract on a per-transaction basis or as part of a subscription service. The subscription services ensure, for a reduced annual fee, ensure you have access to Sr. professionals in real time.

Service characteristics

To ensure the remote support service is deliverable when needed, after contracting the service we perform a setup session, where we review your IT infrastructure to make sure you have the technology and capabilities required to engage in remote support.

If there are any requirements that need to be satified before remote support can take place, we will elaborate a report indicating them along with the recommended steps to implement them.

We will also provide you with detailed documentation about this requirements so you can have this information at hand whenever you need it.

If you implement any changes to you IT infrastructure that might impact the remote support service, you could contact us to run a new setup session, where we would validate the requirements checklist  and advice you on any fixes or adjustments needed.

Note: This setup step is part of the subscription-based services. For transaction based remote support, the time and resources spent on setting up the environment are billed as part of the service.

Minimum service requirements

In order to apply for remote support services, you have to meet the following requirements. If any of them are met, then you would need to implement them before contracting remote support.

  • Broadband internet connectivity
  • Windows XP, Vista or Mac workstation from where remote support activities will take place
  • If you are through a router or proxy, capability to accept inbound connections from your workstation
